Salsa Social: The First Block Party is a durational space at the festival hub that invites young queer folks and families to engage with the lineage of East Austin’s food scene. Salsa Social is an all-ages, intentionally intersectional event that transforms the Fusebox hub into a celebratory block party that honors the diverse culture and history of East Austin and the LGBTQ+ community. It involves community organizations, local vendors, performances by local artists, a drag competition, culminating in an epic dance party.
Block Party Collective is Brianna Figueroa, Siri Gurudev, Christine Gwillim, and Michael Love.
